About Lindisfarne Florist
Lindisfarne is a boutique florist and outdoor plant centre which has been at the centre of the community in Leigh-On-Sea for in excess of 40 years. The shop provides top quality flowers and plants which are delivered daily to local customers, as well as being a member of a leading international relay network. Lindisfarne prides itself on the quality of its arrangements and presentations for both traditional and modern tastes covering weddings, sympathy and the complete and unusual range of gifts.
What they wanted Following the rebranding and new ownership in 2004, the owners needed a way of producing the images of the floral work the business was creating into an online presence so that prospective clients could see the range of products and ideas that were available. The system was required to automatically resize uploaded images as well as offer a completely flexible menu system to provide for all eventualities. Every aspect of the system was required to be managable by one user with little or no technical experience. In addition, a future phase of work will see an e-commerce module introduced into the system. How we responded Wrenhill recognise that technology is only ever as good as the users capability to use the system. Designing the administration system behind the site was the key to how successful the project would become. The result is an extremely inexpensive, easy-to-maintain web site with literally hundreds of images, all upoaded by the user. Once the image is taken and processed onto the users PC, the system offers a simple staged approach to adding the content which includes descriptive text as required. After adding an entry to the relevant section, the user locates the relevant image to be uploaded and the system does the rest! Sharon Andrews, the owner said; What you have done for our online image and the ease of maintanance is absolutely first rate! Having the system run on your servers has just taken all our management headaches away - a 100% uptime since the site went live in September 2004 The development took just three weeks from the receipt of the brief to going live.
