As part of the business solution all organisations must ask themselves is how usable does the site have to be and what are the accessibility requirements? It's different for every client. Large charitable organisations will pay a lot of attention to this, other small companies, less so.
But if you have a lot of site administrators, some who may be less able than others, it will be an important factor. Or if your client base may be partially sighted. With new UK legislation in place, companies cannot afford to be complacent. For Coventry University, this was an extremely important issue. Their number one priority when they came to us was that the site must be accessible and usable to the highest standards. Not just the content, any and all of the site structure and html needed to get through the most stringent tests. With a truly multi-cultural audience and administration team, Coventry needed to take this very seriously indeed. Thankfully, they asked Wrenhill to assist their excellent in-house design team to ensure that all of the requirements were met both in their design and our implementation with the result that it passed the highest WSC and Bobby requirements.
